Fact of the Day: Grape Tangerine

The citrus fruit known as the tangelo was originally a hybrid of the grapefruit and a tangerine in the early 20th century.

I never knew that. I know that an ortanique is a cross between an orange and a tangerine and it's delicious!

i didn't know that either. i like clementines, and tangerines, and... ok, i like oranges. grapefruits are meh.
