Fact of the Day: Lost Just One Election

While President Obama has won two successful presidential elections, one senate race, and three elections in the Illinois state senate; he has lost one election. He lost a primary battle against Congressman Bobby Rush in 2000. Rush has held the same seat since 1993, and in 2000 he went on to win the general election with almost 88% of the vote.
