Fact of the Day: Month of Spring Time

April gets it's name from Aprilis which was what the Romans called the fourth month of the year. The name Aprilis itself was thought to be derived from Latin words meaning "to open". Which would make sense as April is usually the month where spring fully begins and flowers bloom.

I hope April will cheer us up and keep its promise, Adam. We are longing for spring. The weather in the Netherlands is still much too cold. Almost no bloom is blooming in our famous garden and tourist attraction "de Keukenhof". They now bought flower boxes with bulbs to decorate the park for the tourists. It is a little drama. Have a great day. Greetings, Joke

And yet I feel the only thing that's going to "open" is another huge can of snow. March and April are always our snowiest months here in Colorado.

Yeah a month when things change and not to hot, but much rain.

I hope this means I'll see flowers when I go outside today. Not likely, I guess. It's snowing. Ugh.

Happy Monday, Adam!
