Fact of the Day: Andrew Jackson's Victory

While the U.S. national debt is still a major issue in the political world, it has only been cleared at zero only once in our history as a nation. President Andrew Jackson (in a lot of ways on principle) dropped it to nothing in 1835 for the first and only time.
