Fact of the Day: Green and Red

While Jalapeno peppers are traditionally green, they do turn red during the end of the growing season. While they become less desirable they can be eaten whether they're green or red.

I was raised on a farm and love all fresh produce. However, these peppers are not for me. You always find great things to share with us.

I love green food. However, jalapeno peppers are NOT on the list!

Very interesting! And you don't want to just go biting into one of these things.

Yeppers. Love when they turn red. And sometimes, we get these great green bell pepper at the local market, as they are turning red. But only have to pay the green price.

Love that, too.

If you let them turn red and smoke them, you get chipotles. I made those one year.

I didn't think red jalapenos were weird since a red one was the first one I've ever had when I tried them.
