Pope Francis Says All Good People Are Redeemed

While I've always had some criticism for the papacy, but I was pleased to hear some of the comments Pope Francis made recently. In short he said that "doing good" is what unites humanity together and everyone is redeemed if they do so. He even extended that view to not only agnostics (which I am) but atheists as well. It's wonderful to see a highly respected religious leader try to make peace for all faiths and ideologies. Which is breath of fresh air for me; as hearing bigoted men like Billy Graham and Pat Robertson spout non-sense has made me a little jaded to say the least.

  1. This new Pope is a wonderful and humble man. Within days of becoming the Pope, he set out and washed the feet of the sick. When was the last time you saw a Pope do that? He is not into all the pomp and circumstance of the Papal world. He changed the huge ornate chair to a simple wooden one. He changed from wearing the gold cross with many jewels to his simple metal cross. He has made many many changes like this. He is a Pope for the people.

  6. I agree with that completely! And I'm glad he thinks so --- and says it out loud.

  8. I am not religious. I do not follow the Catholic faith, but I do like to watch and read about the popes. The last one I wasn't too fond of, but I really like this one. I think he will lead well.
