Fact of the Day: Eiffel Liberty

One of the Statue of Liberty's main designers was Gustave Eiffel, who was also the man behind the Eiffel Tower.

Sadly the Statue of Liberty is still closed due to Hurricane Sandy and will not reopen until July 4th. Ellis Island museum has no reopening date. I tried to get tickets for our visit in November. :(

I think every American should visit the Statue of Liberty! Did you know that they have a smaller version of the Statue of Liberty in Paris?

yes I did. They also got a few clones (though probably not done by the actual french designers) in other places like Vegas.
