Halo: Spartan Assault Shown for Windows Phone/Tablet and Windows 8

Halo is Microsoft's most well-known and arguably best series since the release of the original Xbox. Despite a PC version of the first two Halo games, the series has stayed console-only. But Halo: Spartan Assault is the first Halo game not playable for 360 gamers. It's a top-down 3rd person shooter and features 25 missions set between the events of Halo 3 and Halo 4. It's set to be released this July for Windows 8 phones, tablets, and computers as well. Though I won't be surprised to see it later come out for Xbox Live Arcade.

I agree with Pat. Trying to get people to move on to windows 8. I'd just wait it out until it is available on something else.
