The State Flag of Hawaii is the only one in the country that has the British Union Jack flag in its design along with the red, white, and blue stripes. The flag is the same one used from the days when Hawaii was still a kingdom which had undergone significant British influence.

Interesting fact :)
Many on Australia wish we could get rid of the Union Jack from our flag.
I Love Hawaii :)
I didn't know that!
Strange that they kept it.
So colourful this flag and full of symbolism. Interesting fact. Kisses:)

Hawaii must not have wanted to stir anything up
You Americans crack me up!
I didn't know about their British influence.

Interesting. I wonder why they never removed the Union Jack.
I'm surprised it hasn't been changed.
That's interesting. I'm surprised that they never changed it.
If I ever get to Hawaii, I am going to have to buy a little replica and bring it home to my girls. They are fascinated with all things British and would get a kick out of that.
Never seen this flag before.
Greetings,
Filip
