Fact of the Day: Artistic Friend of Animals

Legendary inventor and artist Leonardo da Vinci (with some debate) was believed to be a vegetarian. He was also a friend to animals, often obtaining caged birds and setting them free.

him being a vegetarian was a surprise! :) but the fact that he loves nature and he's friends with animals is somehow understandable. for me at least. because he is an artist. :))

he loved birds because he loved to study their flight and use if for his inventions. The vegetarian thing is mentioned in DA VINCI'S DEMONS too :)
