Fact of the Day: Texas Ocelot

The Ocelot (also known as the dwarf leopard) is found all over South America. However some ocelots can be found as far north as Texas.

Such a beautiful animal! When my daughter was in elementary school, she did a presentation on ocelots. She wanted to have one as a pet for the longest time. And she still loves these cats the best!

A beautiful creature. A few years ago I spotted a bobcat in my driveway with a squirrel twitching in its mouth. It was a beautiful feline although this Texas ocelot takes the prize.
