Fact of the Day: Return of Salmon

In folklore, it was said that salmon return to the same place they were born to give birth to the next generation. Modern scientific studies have determined this to be true in most cases.

Maybe everyone from our small cowtown are salmon, since they always seem to come back to spit out their eight illegitimate children...

I read that when Lewis and Clark finally made it to the mouth of the Columbia River they were starving. Indians were catching salmon in abundance but Lewis and Clark's men believed they'd turn red like the Indians if they ate the red fish. So they butchered a horse and ate that instead. I can relate; not a big fan of salmon.
