Fact of the Day: Piranha Cousin

While neon tetras are known as peaceful fish popular for tanks, they are a member of the Characidae family of fish. Which makes them a distant cousin to the aggressive piranha fish of South America.

So don't mess with the Neons because they'll put out a contract on you with their cousins?

Another interesting fact. They are so pretty. I once had a fish, but when it died, no more. It was not as colorful as these.
