In his spare time, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was an avid stamp collector. He showed great pride in his collection, with many from all over the world.

Hmmm... I didn't know that. I have a feeling stamp collecting is not so big these days. My husband used to collect them.

I use to try and collect them, but no one ever sent me mail. I wonder if his collection ended up in a museum or something!

I tried to collect stamps when I was a kid but that didn't last too long.

It's hard to believe FDR ever had any spare time, but I do recall that he was into stamp collecting, as was I when I was much younger.

Does anyone collect stamps anymore? I mean kids -- I doubt it.

When my dad met my mum for the first time he really liked her, but she was really popular and he thought she wouldn't be interested in him. So he tried talking to her but he was very nervous, and then he just asked her if she'd like to come home with him and see his stamp collection. Haha true story!

Stamp collecting used to be a big deal. I'm not surprised he found it relaxing.
