Fact of the Day: Bees Should Be Proud

If kept pure and in proper storage, honey can last for a very long time, even centuries. Though they can lose some coloring and flavor with time.

I had some old honey that practically turned to a rock after about a year (and it was kept in a sealed jar). I wonder if there was any salvaging it. I had just assumed it went bad and threw it away.

I didn't realize pure honey could be kept so long. Good to know!

I'm visiting from Pat's place. He's talking good about your blog over there. :)

I believe they found honey in King Tut's tomb, and it was edible.

Nothing better than a hot, buttered biscuit with fresh honey. I keep it all the time.

Honey never goes bad. Unless you puke in it. You should've put the jar in some warm water, is all. :)
