David Letterman's Successor is Stephen Colbert

While I respect David Letterman, I've never watched much of the Late Show. Though I'm really happy to see after Letterman retires soon, that Stephen Colbert will take his place. While I'll miss the Colbert Report, and his alter-ego self; he certainly deserves the role. I've seen him a few times out of character, and he seems to be just as talented with comedy and interviewing. Best of luck to him in 2015.

  1. I like his character so much that I had misgivings about his taking on this new role, but like you say he's a talented guy and I'm hoping he does well.

  2. I've never seen him out of the character role. I wonder if Jon Stewart feels passed over?

  3. I've never been a big Letterman fan either but I adore Stephen Colbert! I bet that British guy will take over a revamped Colbert Report.

  4. Colbert will be awesome. Fuck Rush Limbaugh and his hate at this choice.

  6. I like Colbert, but I really don't know what to think of him doing the Late Show. That being said Letterman has not been funny the last several years and it is time he did go. I will watch Colbert to see how he is.

  7. I'll miss Letterman. He was always my first pick over Leno. I hope Colbert does a good job filling his shoes!

  8. I love Stephen Colbert and his new role will help take the sting out of Letterman's retirement for those who enjoyed him through the years. I'd only started watching in the past few years but my SO has been a fan since he first aired.

I'm kind of hoping that the persona that Colbert has been entertaining us with will be the one doing his monologues and that he can just be himself through the rest of the program. Time will tell but I know I'll be watching regularly no matter what.
