The Japanese Macaque (also known as the snow monkey) can easily live in colder climates. Besides humans, no other primate lives farther north or in a colder area.

I used to have a primate book as a youngster and I remember reading about these. Such cool animals!

We saw a couple when we were high up in the Japan Alps. It was snowing and about -1C (April). The monkeys like to sit in the natural outdoor hot springs.

I've seen pictures of them soaking in thermal hot springs. They look so human.

Looks like they've got a good amount of fur to keep them warm.
