Fact of the Day: Easter

While Easter is considered a Christian holiday, many of its roots actually came from an old Germanic religion. The name Easter itself comes from the Germanic deity Eostre (also known as Ostara), and people would honor her around April.

While we celebrate a secular Easter (and Christmas) I'm not too big into the holiday besides the candy. The holiday will mean more when Daisy and I have children and we get to color eggs and hide them.
