Fact of the Day: Our Spot in the Galaxy

Mankind had once thought the Earth was not only the center of the solar system but the center of the universe as well. Not only was the idea proven wrong with our solar system, but our solar system isn't even close to the center of our galaxy. We are about 27,000 light years away from the center.

Isn't it amazing what we know today - and then to think what will be known in 100 years' time..

So much has been hidden from us about space travel and because of that, most people believe we are the only planet with life.

My granddaughter showed me a photo on her phone of a UFO that that was just hanging above the spot where they were. It was round shape and had a lot of different colored lights. Then if vanished.

I've been learning more about this on Cosmos. Life was no doubt less unsettling when we did think we lived at the center of the universe.
