Funny Story: Diet Contradiction

Being a vegetarian, I typically don't criticize anyone's food choices as I personally despise people who comment or ask stupid questions about mine. Though I remember an ironic story about a guy in high school who said he was vegan, which is a well-known diet where you do not consume any food or drink that comes from an animal even if it is still alive. Then moments later he was eating a snickers bar. I had to tell them that it was obviously made with milk.

I'm just a vege, though it's there is different styles, vegan or vegetarian. So I don't mind the Snickers bar.

Definitely not vegan! Maybe he didn't understand what it truly entailed.

haha i think it's a bit annoying when people are in-your-face about their food choices... but i guess some people can't really help it.

The ones who make me laugh are the 'vegetarians' who eat fish!

Well I think that an exception can always be made for Snickers :)

that's pescatarian, and that is done mainly for health reasons not moral reasons. Red meat is bad, but poultry isn't much better for the body. Fish seems to have a beneficial role when consumed, for the human body anyway.

I'm definitely not vegan, but I do eat much less meat than I did in my younger days.

I hate people who are in your face because of their choices being different than mine. I would never criticize some because their food choices, religion, sexuality, or whatever was different from mine. Live and let live. Though I do think it is funny you called him out on his Snickers bar. If you are going to talk the talk, best not to eat a Snickers bar in public.

Oh boy! Isn't it annoying how people always have to criticize others for what they eat and then they're no better or even worse? That is a funny story :)
