While Cuba's health-care system is harshly criticized by many, the number of doctors in the country is surprisingly high. In doctors-per-people ratios, Cuba is much higher than most first-world nations.
Wasn't Cuba featured in Sicko as being a good health care country? I remember Michael Moore taking several patients that weren't treated properly in the US to Cuba for appropriate treatment. So, all that criticism is probably to distract from the not-so-good system in the US (not to offend anyone here).
I didn't know this about Cuba. Unfortunately, the media just concentrates on the poverty and political system over there. That's great to know the people have a good heath care system.
they have some of the biggest experts in the world and they have cures for many deadly ilnessess.... they have good scientists who work on important medicines

An interesting fact.
Really? that sounds great. Kisses:)
Stunning fact ! :)
I once heard this:
If you want to have a nice home, drive a nice car, and be really wealthy, become a doctor in the U.S.
If you want to do your job, become a doctor in any other country.
Sadly, I think that is very true. I would take Cuba's health care over ours ANY day!
