While the famous artist Picasso is known simply as Pablo Picasso, his full name at his baptism was Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso. The names were in honor of various saints and relatives.

Imagine how hard that had to have been to learn to spell in kindergarten ;)
Wow, try writing that out a few times. No wonder it got shortened.
Well, that's what I call a long name...

LOLZ....no wonder he shortened it!
LOL, it sounds fun!
I'd like to see this birth certificate.
That's a mouthful! I can see why he shortened it.
I wonder if even he himself was able to memorize it
Holy shit. I'd hate to try to put that on a business card.
Jeez, what a handle!
Really? When I studied at school he was Pablo Ruiz Picasso. He had more names than a king!! Kisses:)
Good grief, must be a mouthful to say it all at once.
Damn, he'd need 50 licenses just to fit his whole name on them
Ruiz is as common in Spain as "Smith" is here in the USA. Picasso took his mother's name after quarreling with his father. Interesting because Picasso is a very rare name in Spain.
wow! What a long name:)
What parents do to their kids! Yikes!
Wow! Such a long name haha!
