At the age of 43, John F. Kennedy became the youngest person ever elected to become President of the United States.

Because it takes so long to get your party excited and ramped up, a politician has to start in his 30s if he wants to be Prez in his early 40s! Which means he has to start building his background for it when he's, what? 12?!
