Random Photo: Mowing the Lawn in Spring

Yesterday marked the start of my first vacation of the year, and how do I spend it? Mowing the lawn that got out of control because I just never had time to take care of it earlier. Ran over a rock, but thankfully the lawn mower didn't suffer any real damage.

My husband hit a broom the kids left in the yard the other day. I watched it go flying about 15 feet through the air. It was nuts!

A chore that I not fond of doing:)

I tore the blade up on a rock on more than one mower. I used to mow several yards during the summers while in high school for extra money, and Ms. Beckett's yard was an adventure because there were always hidden rocks.

The blades of a mower are usually very sturdy, but that, of course, depends on the type of debris it hits. Remember, in order to avoid any harmful trajectory, proper yard preparation should be done. Remove rocks, sticks, toys and other non-grass foreign objects from the area you'll be mowing. In any case, I'm glad you found the time to care of your lawn, Adam. Thanks for sharing that! All the best to you! :)
