Fact of the Day: Cola

The reason soda is sometimes known as cola is because one of the original ingredients was the fruit of a kola tree. They were also the reason why soda contains caffeine.

and where does the COCA come from? It's a rather scandalous name for a product since cocaine comes from South American plant coca.
