Gerald Ford was the first president to have a pool at the White House. It was built in 1975, and he used it quite often.

I don't think a president should enjoy a pool when most of his people can't enjoy one....

Ford might have had the first "outdoor" pool at the White House, but FDR had an indoor pool. I believe it was beneath the current press room.

A great way to cool off, and a wonderful form of exercise. If I had a pool, I'd probably use it often, too!
