Albert Einstein was once offered the presidency of Israel, but he refused. However even if he did take the role, the President of Israel actually holds little power, as the true power belongs to the Prime Minister.

Einstein also liked to play the violin. Someone once sent him a Stradivarius and he returned it saying he wasn't worthy of even holding such a thing.
