Charleston is First in SC to Embrace Marriage Equality

With the recent Supreme Court decision to not hear appeals from conservative states, it was only a matter of time before marriage equality would start in South Carolina. Couples all over the state have tried, and in some cases such as Greenville they were denied. However Charleston became the first to okay marriages of same-gender couples in a state where there is a great confusion on the matter. As a South Carolinian, I can say Charleston has always been a city the state can be proud of. They earned even more respect from me today.
