Fact of the Day: Moon Galaxy

While moons orbit planets, and planets orbit suns, it also seems that galaxies can orbit other galaxies. Our Milky Way Galaxy is the center galaxy that has many satellite galaxies. The biggest is the Large Magellanic Cloud which is almost 160,000 light years from Earth.

It fascinates me that we can photograph these things. Then to see the great beauty - the colors displayed is awesome. We are so tiny!

When I think about the universe, it's hard to really get a grasp at just how enormous it really is.

It's a great big universe out there! I don't think we will ever really grasp its full magnitude.
