Question: Are You Good at Art?

I believe some things can learned by experience and practice, but I believe art is a talent some people are just born with. I took art classes in school, and while with the help of a teacher I could make some decent things, they were not great works of art. My brother Zach on the other hand made great pieces for his age since kindergarten. If he had really wanted to, I believe with enough training he could been something of an artist later in life.

Do you consider yourself good at art?

My brother is an artist in heart and talent. He just doesn't have the drive to use it. I would love to be an artist, but don't have the talent.

Alas, Adam, like Wilde I put only my talent into my arts, but my genius into my life.

I've always liked to draw since I was a child. Took it up again when I started blogging, and am happy with what I am painting now.

Painting, no, I can't pick up a brush. But, I do a bit of photography, quietly.

I used to be. My art teacher wanted me to go to art school in London but there was no way my dad would let me go to the city, and that as they say, was that :)

Yes. I've spent much of my life as a professional artist.

I have a good eye for art and a very small bit of talent at it. Perhaps with training it could blossom into something. But I don't know if I have the patience to do art.

It was just [literally] yesterday my potter friend told me "the ones that are good in art, just get it in one go". I am superrrrrrrrrrr slow!
Have a fantastic 2015!!!

I have an eye for photography but I'm not good at drawing or stuff like that. My younger daughter is naturally talented; she draws and paints amazing things. It comes naturally to her. She's been doing it since she was very young. My brother who died had the same talent; he was born with it. He started drawing people when he was preschool age. And I have several cousins from my mom's side with natural artistic talents. That gene skipped me :)

No, I am definitely not an artist. Some people amaze me with their artistic ability!

I believe it is the same with having or not having a talent and brain for maths and mechanics and fixing things. I have those not, but I'm good at arts and social studies
