Things I Hate: Long Car Rides

I find longer car rides easier to tolerate than when I was little. Driving yourself isn't nearly as boring as being the passenger. I remember long trips to Charleston, SC and another beach, and being bored out of my mind. I also get motion sick in the car, so reading was never an option.

I am really NOT a fan of long car OR plane rides. I get car sick too.

I get motion sickness, too. When I was a kid, I'd put my headphones on and listen to the radio the whole way. That helped a little but, yes, it was pretty boring.

Yea, long and straight roads, I can't stand it. The long and winding road, they are better.

I want an auto piloted car, so I can kick back and read read read when I'm traveling. I used to get sick, but I read enough, I pushed past it.

I don't mind long car trips too much, and I'm not fond of driving. Mrs. C. Usually drives if we go anywhere.

I agree! Long car trips. Long plane trips. All hideous. When are we going to GET there already!?

When I was a kid, my mother would pack the most disgusting things to eat on our TWO DAY trip to Florida...canned orange juice and store bought ladyfinger pastry things. My brother always barfed. It was awful. Sorry to share.

I get motion sick too. It is unbearable, the very long ones like over 2 hours I'd say.

I enjoy a nice car ride. You can see and stop when you wish.

I enjoy being a passenger on long trips. We travel over 3,000km via car, we both drive and enjoy without any problems. I look at the scenery when not driving and my husbands sleeps when he's not driving.

I don't really mind long car rides when I'm heading somewhere I'm excited about seeing. They can be fun if you stop along the way to enjoy some sights and take photos. Of course, being the passenger is the better choice!

I get motion sickness too and reading used to be problematic. Then I tried SeaBand Ginger Gum and it works so good at preventing the motion sickness, now I can read in the car.
