Fact of the Day: Smart Crow

Crows are one of the most intelligent birds in the world. Some crows in captivity have been known to give "names" to certain people they interact with. As they will make unique sounds around the person they would not otherwise make.

Oh yes. I knew crows were smart. In fact, we have a lot of devious birds here in Hawaii.

It stands to figure that a bird as annoying as a crow would also be quite intelligent.

Crows are insanely intelligent. I remember back in high school every year the crows would find new ways to get food from the kids. They also always harassed the same kids who caused them grief (over generations too). If you haven't seen the TED talk on crows, you should check it out, it's mind blowing!

Moral of the story, be nice to crows.
