Fact of the Day: Emperor Funny

The Roman Emperor Elagabalus might not have been as famous as the Caesars, but he did contribute an invention to history. He used whoopie cushions at dinner parties to make his guests seem like they farted when they sat down. The joke item was re-invented during the 1920s in Canada.

I've NEVER figured out why men and boys think farting is so dang FUNNY. It's not a bit funny to me...guess just another difference in males and females....

Aw, the history of whoopie cushions! This is important information to know.... especially when I visit so many blogs that love to giggle about farts and snots and humorous bodily functions.
