Fact of the Day: Big Mexico

During it's history, Mexico has had much more land under its power than it currently has today. Present-day California, Texas, and Central America were once considered part of Mexico.

And before that? The Aztecs, Mayans, Olmecs, Navajos, etc., etc.
Granted, the Mexican War was a shameless land grab, but there is a historical precedent (not saying it's right, but it's a fact).

So true. I grew up in Santa Clara, California, and the El Camino Real (the King's Highway) ran right through our town.
