Fact of the Day: International Mormon

Despite the Church of Latter-Day Saints being founded in America, most Mormons live outside the United States. This is due to many of its members proselytizing in various countries over many decades.

  1. Yes Adam you are correct - many live here and the numbers are increasing.
Young men in pairs go door to door with their preaching books and pamphlets
and you may be surprised - many have US accents!!!
They are not easy to get rid of with their persuasive approach.
If they get in well then you do have a problem!
One thing is that they are perfectly dressed so smartly.
So the Mormon church is not short of money, eh???

  2. That is a really interesting fact!

  3. Still have gotten a few at the door, ugg

  4. Didn't know that, thanks as always for sharing facts with us!

  5. Very interesting...I can't really speak much about Mormans as I don't know that much about them. I DO know, however, that they are out there, spreading the word, as we are supposed to do.

    2. Ah shit!
So the Republican "God" and the Lord has moved Texas to Utah.
Well I suppose the Holy Trinity of George Snr, George "the utter clown" Jnr and baby Jeb with all their unholy alliances could do that???
Well it might improve the brain power of the God fearing bible readers
      of Texas.

  6. I admittedly know little about Mormons--I think my first thought when I hear about Mormons is of the Osmonds!

  7. Yea, they came over to try to teach us baseball, no chance.

  8. I used to live across the street from a temple in suburban Chicago. They are pretty.

  9. Yep; this is totally understandable.

  10. I know a few Mormons. They have never tried to push their religion on me at all. I've been to a few of the temples (they have some gorgeous ones) to support my friends in talent shows or whatnot and haven't been pushed there either. I haven't had any at my door in the 7 years we've lived here, but I do know they take pride in spreading the word when they can.
