Fact of the Day: Wrong Ship

During World War I, Germany decided to make a ship to look like the British ship the RMS Carmania. This was to make suprise attacks on British ships. Except the German imposter ship met up with the real RMS Carmania, and the British naval ship sank the German one.

Poor old Kaiser Willi, he met his match with his cousin, Georgie Boy, on the high seas!
In this case I suppose we can say - "water was thicker than blood".

Interesting, although the pictured ship looks like a passenger ship instead of a battleship, unless that was the ruse.

the one in picture is the German imposter, but the British original was a passenger ship but was converted into a warship
