Fact of the Day: Tsunami Rocks

The are tsunami stones across Japan which can be six hundred years old. They inform people that it would be unwise to build a house past that point. Despite their age, they prove to be a reliable tool in knowing where a tsunami will be at its worst.

This is a very famous Japanese work of art. I remember seeing it for a long long time now, replicas, I guess...even back when I was a lot younger and all this time, I thought it was just a wave. Gee! It did not occur to me that's the dreaded tsunami.
