Fact of the Day: Ancient Jewerly

Humans have been wearing jewelry for at least 100,000 years. One of (if not the first) types of jewelry were made from sea-shells.

Many of the Pacific Islanders still decorate themselves with sea-shells, especially in Papua New Guinea. Some of the sea-shells are absolutely magnificent.

I bought home some seashells from the west coast of Australia, was going to make jewelry but never got around to it.

Yup, we gotta have our bling. I didn't realize sea shells was one of the first types of jewelry but it makes sense.

Wow 100,000 years we love fashion isn't it. Sea shells seems very nice might make a comeback very soon.
