Fact of the Day: Color-Blind Gender

Men are far more likely to be color-blind than women. About 8% of males are colorblind, but only about 0.5% of women are color-blind.

This one I actually knew because I was afraid that my baby girl was. The dr told me it was unlikely. (She's not)

I'm colour-blind at the dark end of the spectrum. Often can't distinguish navy from black or grey from brown.

Our buddy's dad is color blind. Come to think of it, the only people we know who are color blind are men. I wonder why they're more likely to have that than women.
