My Favorite Photos: Zoo Giraffes 2015

This was taken by my mother back in the summer of 2015 at the Greenville Zoo in South Carolina. This is my favorite place of the zoo as the giraffes are very interesting. Especially as the female giraffe was pregnant and had a baby. But I think the baby giraffe grew up and got sent to another zoo by now.

Adam, Your readers might be interested in this Australian
Zoo - it is open plains so visitors are bused around to see the animals in the open.

It is a breeding zoo and it may be that your young giraffe
AFTER having inoculations (unlike Mr.Depp's dogs) may have been shipped here or to another breeding zoo in the USA or o/seas.
Giraffes are NOT listed as being here, but I have seen photos
of a herd of them at Dubbo-Taronga Park Zoo.
This is a very much favoured place for tourists and of course for the large country "city" of Dubbo.
Play around with google on the Dubbo Zoo and you will find plenty of information that Zoo lovers should appreciate.

Giraffes are just beautiful animals, eh? That's too bad that the baby was separated from the mom though.

I've actually never seen a giraffe in real life before. It sucks that the baby had to be taken away.

I can't believe what I see above - the two "E's" - do you, two, really think that the mother giraffe will go into mourning?
This is the way of the animal kingdom, the young leave their mothers!!!!

I love to see the giraffes at the zoo. We fed them a few years back and my girls were a little freaked out over their huge tongues.

we do love giraffes, although I generally hate seeing ZOOs! Not a place for animals, unless they're wounded or unfit for nature.
