Fact of the Day: Longren Airplane

Less than a decade after the Wright Brothers, a man named Albin Longren built and flew his own airplane in Kansas.

It takes guts to fly that. How fast would they have to peddle to become airborne? Did they still have to peddle in the air? Or did glide. Were there brakes? Nope, couldn't do it.
