Fact of the Day: Compass

The magnetic compass was most likely invented around 206 BC in China. Its original use was for mystics to create prophecies from it instead of navigating land or sea with it.

Interesting how things are invented for one purpose and then used for something different. I understand Viagra was designed as a blood pressure medicine---with one peculiar side effect.
