Fact of the Day: Russian Cabbage

Cabbage is commonly eaten throughout the world, but Russia has the largest number of cabbage eaters. The average Russian will typically consume about 44lbs (20kg) of cabbage a year. Americans typically will eat about 8.6lbs (3.9kg) of cabbage a year.

Wow, that's a lot of cabbage. I really only like cole slaw and not cooked cabbage.

As Ukrainian food is almost the same, I can say that it's true. We have some cabbage dishes that we eat pretty often.
