Fact of the Day: Sahara Snow

While the Sahara desert is well known for harsh warmer weather it does sometimes get cold. It even snowed there (very briefly) on Feburary 18th, 1979.

Guess even in such places, crummy snow finds a way

Going to the Sahara is on my bucket list!

PS Love that last scene of GoT! "Are you with me? Now and always?"...aaaaaaaaah! And Bran's scenes are so LOTR!

Interesting, never thought of that.

The Sahara is full of surprises - freezing cold it can get during the nights. Surely people would have seen from documentary WW2 films the clothes worn by the Allied (Montgomery and Patton) and Afrika Corps (Rommel) military.
The sandstorms are apparently something to never be trapped in.
Stay put until the storm abates - OR ELSE!!!!

Surprising! I can tell you we did stand on Sahara sand when we traveled to Egypt and Jordan.
