Fact of the Day: Soviet Moon

While America was first in putting a man on the moon, they weren't the first to get to the moon. The Soviet Union sent the spacecraft Luna 2 which reached the moon in 1959.

I think I've read this somewhere...it's interesting how most people now think it's US who did it first....
