Fact of the Day: Many Gods of Egypt

There were many notable gods and goddesses (such as Horus and Ra) in Ancient Egyptian religion but also many minor ones. It's unknown exactly how many, but the number of deities could have been more than 2,000 strong.

I remember being highly fascinated by Egyptian Gods in elementary school! The stories about them were so vivid and filled of mystery. Actually, I still would love to visit Egypt and learn more about them, even though I've heard that the Egypt of today is very different from the country of these tales. When I visited London some years ago, I heard that the best mummies for instance are there due to the British colonists. However, one day I'll visit for sure. Thank you for your kind words on my blog :)
