Things I Hate: Cyclists on the Road

Very little else annoys me while driving than seeing someone on a bicycle on a road. Where I live they can't try that on the Interstate but a lot of these other roads can only be 10mph (16.09kmh) less than what people drive in the Interstate. It can cause a major road to be clogged like crazy and there is very little room for them to move to the side on smaller roads. I don't really care too much about being slowed down, but I fear for the welfare of these cyclists or the vehicle accidents caused by trying to avoid them . I wouldn't even want to ride a motorcycle myself, and I would never be foolish enough to ride a bike on a road that's outside my neighborhood.

I'm thinking of you and Daisy, Adam, and hoping you are well out of the way of Hurricane Matthew!

Anywhere close to that ole mean Matthew...? sure hope not.
We have a lot of bikes and motorcycle riders out here....like you, I wouldn't ever ride a bike on a busy street...

We have bicycle trails just for their use. Lot of people use them.

I wish that my city was set up in a way that people who aren't in autombiles could easily get from place to place.

Sadly, it's not, and bicycles make me very nervous.

It doesn't help that many cyclists are not sharing the road in safe ways and are therefor giving all cyclists a bad name.

As pedestrian, I don't like having to watch out for cyclists in walking areas.

Well this old cyclist would like a little more space. Here cyclists are considered a vehicle but they aren't liked at all.

As a cyclist myself I found the 'B' roads safer and easier to use.

Oh you should see this one little country road that I have to travel at times. It is nothing but hills and curves and through woods. I have gotten behind as many as thirty cyclist that fill up the road and there is no way to get around them. I admire them, but goodness, in this one area it sure makes driving almost impossible.

YES! My biggest pet peeve is when I see practically empty sidewalks but cyclists are still using the road and slowing everyone down. -.-

We have "bike" routes on the roads, but like everything some riders
can't read so get into the main stream of the traffic.
Also they ride on the footpaths and that I DO CONSIDER should be'OUTLAWED" - what with speeding, weaving bike riders and those looney skate board riders, Pedestrians live in hell.

Oooh! This makes me so mad too! Especially when they ride on our busy streets. I wish they would just pop over to the sidewalk on those streets. We have so many people hit and several killed on our road I don't know why cyclists continue to bike on it!

We have designated bike lanes in Tasmania in some places, and we the driver of a vehicle have to be 1.5meters when passing the cyclist.

We have a lot of bicycle paths in my city, which is fantastic!

I think it is so dangerous to ride bikes on curving windy roads like I see all the time.

We have quite a lot of bicycle lanes, which is helpful.
