Fact of the Day: Elephant Seals

While they are plentiful today, elephant seals were once almost hunted to extinction in the 19th century. Their numbers have recovered a great deal since then.

They are a mighty creature.
One was born on King Island in 2015 the first born since sealers came to that Island in the 1800's....King Island is an island that belongs to Tasmania, Australia.

Good they were able to turn around, unlike so many humans have screwed over.

After reading this, I google Elephant Seals and found a sound clip. I do not regret hearing the sound they make haha, it sounds funny
