Fact of the Day: Carrot Eye-Sight

Some people have heard from others that eating carrots will improve your eye-sight. While there are many nutritional values to carrots, this is all made-up. The origin was during World War II. Great Britain had claimed its pilots were so good because they ate carrots which improved their vision. In truth they had radar (a very new technology at the time) and didn't want Germany to figure out they were using superior technology to maintain their edge.

The carrots "good for your eyes" I think was
well and truly in vogue before WW 2.
