Random Photo: Seashells on Deck

Before Christmas, my brother Steven and his family went to the beach. I could see they brought seashells home with them as they littered their patio deck. Most people don't realize that bringing home shells actually harms eco-systems. Animals often use these shells to protect or help themselves and without it it could end up causing their own extinction and even upsetting the balance of nature.

Wow, I had no idea that collecting sea shells actually harms eco-systems. This is good to know, thank you for the information. I hope I remember this the next time we take grandson to the beach.

I had no idea... I was always bringing a lot of seashells from a beach, but now it even hard to find one on beaches recently.

We humans, without thinking, do so much harm to our environment.

Sometimes we harm our environment without realising it. We should always do our best to protect it in order to pass on to future generations ...

All the best Jan

I hadn't thought of that, but you are right!

We don't have shells on our beaches. Just a bunch of rocks, but people still collect them and take them home.

Oops! Guilty! I'll think twice now about picking up seashells now. Thanks, Adam!
